Oof! I got busy and didn't get around to posting here, BUT I kept up with the project and shared images each day on IG Story. Most of these feel kinda lackluster — I was mostly putting concepts on photos I had taken without a specific intention (except for HABIT). Turns out doing it this way feels less juicy to me, so on Day 17 I re-centered and started picking the concept in the morning again. Here they are: 10/100 (this was on 2/22/22...) What happened was: I went to a show (!!!) on the night of day 7, after having worked with "seven", and at first I thought there were seven musicians on stage and was like oh wow! But then (from a different spot) I saw that there were 8 of them. And still I loved the embodiment of the number, the beautiful eight-way relationship I was witnessing. I woke up "hungover" (from, like, dancing/just being out 'til midnight?) and wanting to take it very easy, so for day 8 I posted: EIGHT               And on day 9, a holiday, I'm still taking it easy and thus pulling one from a few days ago: FRAZZLED

Seven is considered a magical/special number in many cultures and disciplines — and, being born on 7/7, it's obviously a special number for me (and perhaps a signifier of my obsession with numbers?). I thought I'd look for a representation of 7 on the 7th day of this project: SEVEN    (posted on IG on the 7th day but forgot to put it here too, so it'll show like a day late)

I woke up from a beautiful dream this morning and thought today I'd try to bring a concept from my dream to the project. During my hike (when I experimented with the photos) I also came up with the "title" for my project (something the challenge creators encourage) — #100DaysofIntentionalStills UPSTREAM (CONTRACORRIENTE)

I'm starting to realize that picking a daily prompt to translate into an image in the middle of a busy day is a little nerve-wracking! I might sit down this weekend/ every few days and pre-select a bunch of words or concepts that I think are doable, then choose from that pool every morning, or maybe even the night before. This morning I asked Kayen to give me a few words (that aren't objects), and she gave me: feed - heal - quiet - quickly . I'll add those to the pool. FEED
